Our aim at Top-Notch is to achieve and exceed the fundamental standards of quality and safety that all registered providers much meet. We make sure that people using our services have personalised care. We achieve this by working in partnership with them and their families or other agencies or organisations that provide them some form of support. As we intend to provide all round support, we understand the importance of making reasonable adjustments and the concept of making informed decisions about their care and treatment options available to them, including the extent to which they may wish to manage these options themselves, while also taking into account the service user's capacity to give an informed consent.

The service user, or a person lawfully acting on their behalf, must be involved in the care planning, management and review to make sure that decisions are made by those with the legal authority or responsibility to do. We work within the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, which includes the duty to consult others such as carers, families or advocates where appropriate.
